ISO/IEC 27001:2005 (commonly referred to as ISO 27001) is an
internationally recognised standard which encompasses both the
physical and logical aspects of information security.
ISO 27001 specifies the requirements for establishing,
implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and
improving a documented Information Security Management System
within the context of the organisation's overall business risks. It
specifies requirements for the implementation of security controls
customised to the needs of individual organisations or parts
ISO 27001 is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and
proportionate security controls that protect information assets and
give confidence to interested parties.
Adopted by the International Organisation for Standardisation in
Geneva Switzerland, the ISO 27001 information security system was
developed in order to establish an international standard of
quality, which has proved to be one of the most rigorous
international standards for system and physical security processes.
The standard is therefore highly applicable to providers of IT
oriented services, such as those ContactPartners provide, and
ensures appropriate protection of the information security assets
that are important to our organisation and to our customers.
ContactPartners recognises the significant trust and
responsibility vested in us by our clients and by achieving the ISO
27001 annually audited standard we are confident in our ability to
maintain the policies and processes required to ensure the
integrity of information security they require.
An Information Security Management System ('ISMS') is a
systematic approach to managing confidential or sensitive corporate
information so that it remains secure (which means available,
confidential and with its integrity intact). It encompasses people,
processes and IT systems.
ContactPartners developed and introduced an ISO 27001 compliant
Information Security Management System in early 2011. The first
order of business was a formal Risk Assessment of all aspects of
our business. The results from this allowed us to develop new and
existing policies and processes where necessary as well as
implementing relevant and appropriate controls. Beyond this, we
also have a Continuous Improvement Plan and an Audit Programme to
ensure we continue to achieve the high standards we set for
In May 2011 IMSM Ltd carried out a rigorous assessment of
our Information Security Management and we are proud to confirm
that following successive annual reviews, we continue to maintain
the requirements of the ISO 27001
Statement of applicability: The management of
information security in the provision of; Consultancy pertaining to
customer contact operations and strategy; vendor selection;
implementation and management of third party software solutions;
processing, storing and delivering data within hosted SaaS
(Software as a Service) applications.

What is a "Cookie"?
An HTTP cookie - commonly referred to as just "cookie" - is a
parcel of text sent back and forth between a web browser and the
server it accesses. Its original purpose was to provide a state
management mechanism between a web browser and a web server.
Without a cookie (or a similar solution), a web server cannot
distinguish between different users, or determine any relationship
between sequential page visits made by the same user. For this
reason, cookies are used to differentiate one user from another and
to pass information from page to page during a single user's
given browser, along with the information requested and sent by the
browser's operator (the visitor). Cookies do not identify people,
but rather they are defined themselves by a combination of a
computer, a user account, and a browser.
